Acquainted with the Night 与夜为伍
I have been one acquainted with the night. 我曾与夜为伍。
I have walked out in rain -- and back in rain. 在雨中踱步。
I have outwalked the furthest city light. 到过路灯不及之处。
I have looked down the saddest city lane. 我见过凄清的马路。
I have passed by the watchman on his beat 也曾低头不顾
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain. 擦肩而去的更夫。
